Great tv series, July 21, 2010
Donna"Prison Break season 2 is one of the best tv series ever. It keeps you in the edge of your seat the whole time. Having it on DVD is the best way to watch it, you dont have to wait a week to see what happens next. I watched all of season two and bought it on DVD so I can now rewatch it to get ready for the new season coming up. I recommend this for everyone, now that I have been watching them lately on DVD my sister is getting hooked, and she had never watched it before."
Great first season of unusual show, April 22, 2011
ChesterWith a plot that sounds like it might have come from an Alfred Hitchcock or Brian De Palma movie "Prison Break" seemed the least likely candidate for buzz and a large following on Fox. I expected the show despite the high quality writing, top notch pilot episode directed by theatrical director Brett Ratner ("X-Men: The Last Stand" and "Red Dragon") to tank with audiences.
Highly recommended, October 30, 2010
Sue"I purchased season 1 of prison break a couple of weeks ago because a friend highly recommended it and because it was on sale for $17.99. Best DVD purchase ever. I am a big fan of "24" but I think this might even be better. My wife and I watched the whole first season (all 6 DVDs) in less than a week. Also, we were visiting my mother-in-law and her husband while watching it and they got hooked on it as well, although they starting to watch around the 6th episode (DVD 2). I recommend this to people who like unpredictable shows. If I had known it was this good, I would have bought it at its original price much earlier. I am currently watching season 2 at a pace faster than the first since my mother-in-law wants to finish watching it before we leave in 5 days. I am eagerly awaiting the release of season 3 as well, which comes out August 12, so we can watch it before season 4 comes out on Fox. If you like fast paced shows, i highly recommend this."
Full Throttle Drama and Suspense, February 25, 2011
Max"Season two finds Schofield and Burrows on the run with several other escapees central to the plot. With all the twists and turns, what I love about this show is that it is able to tie the central plot and subplots together. One would think that once they escaped a series like this would be over. However, as they dig deeper into the plot and as new characters are brought into the fray, it is discovered that the situation brings our two brothers into a deep pit of corruption and murder that goes all the way up to the White House!
This may be too intense for children but for drama and suspense lovers, you'll enjoy both seasons. This is easily one of the best shows of its kind on television. I'd highly recommend starting with season one to get the full backdrop into all the characters and how they were able to make the fated prison break in season one. You'll love it as much as I did."
I Nearly Died!, January 14, 2011
Bill"When I first heard of this show a year ago I was more than enticed, I was anxious to really check it out. The show was intriguing from the very beginning, the journey for one man throwing himself into a maximum security prison to save his innocent brother escape execution by busting them out exciting. One man's conquest quickly becomes a crusade for many other characters playing an equal part in the plan: his cellmate, a mob boss, a pediphile, a legend, and a prison doctor whose manipulation turns into love. From an exterior view this show looks far-fetched and extremely over-dramazised. But my best advise it to give it a second look. Don't shy away easily. This show...these people will bury themselves in your heart to the point where your intently sitting in front of your TV, screaming at the screen as the FBI chases the lawyers attempting an exoneration. You'll sit with tears in your eyes as the prison doctor risks her life to protect the man not meant to be in that place. Each episode will leave you hanging, clamoring for more. And if that isn't proof enough why you should watch this show, consider this: this drama picked up two Golden Globe nominations, an Emmy nomination, and a People's Choice Award...in only half a season."
We're ADDICTED!, January 25, 2011
Spencer"My husband and I are half-way through watching Season 2 of 'Prison Break'. We are seriously addicted to this series. Our 20 year old daughter gave us Season 1 to watch. We had not heard of 'Prison Break' and really didn't expect to like it. Boy, were we surprised! We can't stop watching it. If we didn't need to eat or sleep or work........we'd simply sit and watch all episodes, one after the other until we got all the way through Season 3! My heart is pounding during nearly every second of every episode. It is a brilliant series. Brilliant acting. Brilliant writing. We have been die hard fans of 'Lost', but it can't hold a candle to 'Prison Break'."
Twists and turns, January 30, 2011
Hollis"The fourth season of Prison Break has all the twists and turns in the plot that you have come to expect from the Scofield brothers and their group. This is an exciting season with some additional background information that takes you deeper into the family relationships and helps explain some of the history. This season the focus starts out more as revenge, which is a bit of a different motivating factor for Michael in particular. It is well done overall, but as usual, I am left wondering how this group can travel around so much without being spotted. It seems such a high profile case and yet the public in general never seems to suspect, aside from a few close calls. The plot keeps you moving and wondering what is about to happen next."
Not quite the same as season 1, April 18, 2011
ReedThe first question that I think many people want answered is whether the 2nd season is as good as the 1st. In my opinion it is not quite as "good" as season 1. One could tell that season 1 was worked out to the finest detail, every step of the way, it was simply a brilliantly crafted plot, filled with suspense and wondering what was going to happen next.
