Like BLADE RUNNER before it, when FRANTIC came out in U.S theaters in 1988, it's box-office performance was rather dissappointing. The reason for this can be attributed to the fact that FRANTIC (like BLADE RUNNNER) was not cranked out by the Hollywood cookie cutter machine, and therefore not a movie for American masses. Delving a bit deeper into this, there are aspects of the film's feel, plot, performance and score that I'd like to touch on:

"This DVD was a replacement for my two, VHS copies of this excellent movie. I love Harrison Ford. I love Paris. I believe that it debuted roughly one year after my first trip there. (1988) I love this movie for the visuals of the city, the everyday side and seamy side, and the acting of Emmanuelle Seigner. It sticks with me for passion of city and characters. It is a good movie because it is so real, although the plot might be a little far-fetched, it was made believable enough by all of the actors. But it, see it, keep it for years and years to come. You'll become as attached to it as you will any other DVD in your cabinet."
